Comment on Sleeper: Matt Scherer by Jason Macchiarola http://futureredbirds.com/2007/03/17/sleeper-matt-scherer/#comment-20004 Jason Macchiarola Tue, 13 Jan 2009 19:36:05 +0000 http://futureredbirds.com/2007/03/17/sleeper-matt-scherer/#comment-20004 I have known Matt for 22 Years. He is like a brother to me. He is the kind of guy that will give you the shirt off your back any day of the week. I have watched him play baseball from Little League to now. I even visited him during Spring Training in March 2008 while playing with Springfield. My brother has played on the same team with Matt and he has always worked hard for as long as he can remember. Matt deserves to have this chance to show the world what he is truly made of and what he can do on the mound. Matt, all of Crabapple Court is rooting for you! GO MATT! I have known Matt for 22 Years. Don't know he profiles at 2B. He's a tweener and I can't figure out where he plays. Just not quick enough to play in middle. Curtis is slower than molasses in summer. Don’t know he profiles at 2B. Reading the opening paragraph i thought it was about the trade. Well, done. Comment on Amaury Marti by Martin Kandilas http://futureredbirds.com/2007/01/02/amaury-marti/#comment-19954 Martin Kandilas Wed, 03 Sep 2008 00:30:59 +0000 http://futureredbirds.wordpress.com/2007/01/02/amaury-marti/#comment-19954 I have been keeping an eye on Marti's progress and it looks like he is destined for the ML. My own son David, Australian CF who just returned from the u/19 World Championships owes a lot of his success to Marti. Now with the Rockies, he is hoping to do some training in South Florida before he goes to Tucson for Spring. Hopefully he and Marti can see one another again. Regards again from Down Under. I really dont know what you guys are talkin about . The kid is really good , and i can asure he puts effort into what he is doing. I would be really happy to see him in a mayor league.
