Walrus came from Wally, which came from his last name Wallace

I for one thinks he needs to be just known as a symbol like Price was.

In this case, I would put up a picture of the Suzzane Sommers thighmaster.

So when he does something you just post a picture of the Thigh Master.

B/c we all know Wallace is THE Thigh Master!

Wally’s nickname should be “El Diablo” in honor of his Sun Devil heritage and it ties in nicely with “El Hombre”.

Freese and Craig only “block” other 3Bs who would top out at a level of performance less than or equal to their own. I don’t see either as potentially an All-Star major-league 3B, although it’s not totally inconceivable for Craig. Expectations of Wallace should be rather higher. “Blocking” concerns me less than whether he’ll be able to stick at third.

When Wallace was drafted, it seemed detractors focused on his lower body. Since, in the CWS and MLB, my wife and I have been reviewing hitters’ lower bodies [no], and we find many, many that have no more pronounced lower body substance than Wallace. It’s an unfair and ridicuolus rap.

What do you think the Cards will do with the 3rd base depth they have? Currently having Freese in AAA and Craig at AA seem to be blocking Wallace a little in the future if he is able to stick at the position. It probably won’t be an issue this season but next year we could have three 3rd basemen that all deserve to be at AAA.

Yeah, I know those guys aren’t Cardinal type picks, but with the depth the Cards have developed in recent years, I keep hoping they’ll recognise the need to take more of a risk on high ceiling talent.

Ordorizzi, Melville, or Lawrie are not Cards type picks. We like a guy to be as near to a sure thing as possible. As a hitter, Wallace qualifies. His bat will earn him a position, be it 3B, LF, or 1B.
