In fact, he was downright bad against right-handers in 2007 and has to have drastically improved against them this season. The abilities of players are best viewed across multiple seasons. Izturis seems to have hamstring issues that may be chronic. Unless the Cards swing a deal for another SS, its possible Barden may get some playing time in StL later in the summer. Its come quite a long way in 3 or 4 years..when Bo Hart, Scott Seabol and John Gall where the minor league movement fodder. So more Cards fans should get involved early and understand the moves, follow the play and get ready...b/c as we have seen. These guys can be there in no-time! Thanks for the splits..but can anyone find Stavy's...I know at one point in 2007 he was well over .380 vs LHP and that was at least half way thru the season! A little traffic cant hurt, right? As for Stavy..if my memory serves me correctly he was hitting nearly .400 for most of 2007 vs LHP and has always crushed LHP. I cant find his 07 splits. Also, Stavinoha is better against RH. Nice, bringing up a guy who is allergic to walks.

Barden is more versatile defensively, but despite his average, he gets fooled easily and has some Willie McGee ugly swings. Stav is a stiff in the OF (decent arm though), but he can rake at the plate. Think a slightly smaller Troy Glaus with similar mobility. I’ve seen them.
