Amaury Marti is currently hitting .424/.509/.633 in 39 games for the Mexican Red Devils of the Mexican League, also known as Liga de Amaury Cazana. Bud Selig ordered the Cardinals to banish him to there, in fear of the major leagues losing competitive balance.
Amaury also refuses to accept the watch curse. He has the power to curse, and the power to bless.

I am not sure Luhnow has ever heard of upside?
Basically the Cards are just taking everyone who had a good Summer at the Cape or Team USA
Sounds like a high risk low reward kind of guy. Not a lot to like.
i agree….not much upside on our picks…heck…look at the cubs even
I’ve been biting my tounge for the last couple of hours because I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt - they earned it after Kozma, Mortensen, Todd and Kopp have all turned out better than I expected. But I haven’t seen a single pick that has gotten me excited yet today. At least passing on Mehlville has been explained.
His swing looks pretty good at least, and he did show well with the wood.
Meh
They are drafting very good college players…just not sure they are drafting any good MLB players.
J.Curtis was by far and away the Thomas Eager pick of the 2008 draft.
Do they let Bill DeWitt’s grandson pick the 5th round pick every year as a birthday present or something?
Kozma just hit .189/.280/.221 for the month of May. I’m not sure you should continue to use him to justify giving Luhnow the benefit of the doubt.
One great month and one bad month isn’t enough info for anyone to make conclusions on.
there goes putnam CLE
Putnam to Cleveland at 171…
there went Putnam
No, but he’s currently carrying a .750 OPS despite a BABIP that he is probably not able to sustain, on the heels of an unimpressive debut last season. I wouldn’t say that performance warrants changing your opinion of the guy.
Heres to a HS pick with the next selection. UPSIDE. Say it with me Jeff! UPSIDE
I want Michael Palazzone with this pick. High risk/High reward
i think they are just drafting guys with scouting reports on mlb.com….
not anymore, this guy aint got one
Awesome. I never heard of this guy so I Google him, and the #1 result is his facebook, where he’s posing with some hot college chick in a costume.
well at least we know how to reach him if he sucks….which seems likely
