• Amaury Marti Watch

Amaury Marti is currently hitting .424/.509/.633 in 39 games for the Mexican Red Devils of the Mexican League, also known as Liga de Amaury Cazana. Bud Selig ordered the Cardinals to banish him to there, in fear of the major leagues losing competitive balance.

Amaury also refuses to accept the watch curse. He has the power to curse, and the power to bless.

The Red Sox are just a great organization

And the pick of Kelly exemplifies it. They are willing to pay whoever falls to them, opting to go with ultimate ceiling rather than play it safe here. That was like a cool refreshing drink from the well of common sense to end a weird first round.

  1. I think it’s officially too late to jump on the Brett Lawrie bandwagon :(

  2. I think you’re giving them too much credit. This was a Samardzija situation, not 2008’s Porcello. They’re willing to spend money, but they’re spending it on athleticism. He didn’t slide because of money, he slid because nobody knows whether he can hit.
