He scored a run also. Jay Bruce 1-4 2 K's against a 26 year old lefty. Well Rasmus just hit a double that missed being a homer by a foot or so according to gameday. He scored a run also. He's only 20 years old, and has been badly rushed to this point. I believe he hit OK in Spring Training, as well as Winter Ball--though I have no hard data to back up that impression. That Memphis rotation is a collective 5.00 ERA waiting to happen. The AAA bats & bullpen could be stellar, however. I hope Solano gets plenty of AB’s at Palm Beach, say 18-20 per week at least. He showed the ability to hit AA pitching last summer, and now he's not on the A+ roster. Does anyone know if he's injured? Surely he wasn't cut. Where is Mark Shorey? I don't know if I'd call Jones' promotion agressive. He spent all of last season in Quad Cities. I'd call it a change of scenary. Maybe playing in the bigger parks of the FSL will help him place some hits between the outfielders. It might also boost his confidence moving up a level. You're right about Pham, though. Especially after going 2 for 32 at Quad Cities and then hitting .205 in the NYPL. He must have looked really good in the spring. It may not be long before we see Jaime Gacia in that Memphis rotation.

However, a month or two into the season the rotation could be totally different assuming Pineiro, Clement and Mulder get healthy enough to put themselves in the big league rotation.
