Mike Ferris was the #60th overall pick in the blasphemous 2004 draft. The bat never materialized. Dove’s only calling card was velocity and while it almost got him to the bigs, control and shoulder concerns as well as better prospects matriculating up the system made him an unneeded part. I wouldn’t be shocked to see someone like the Tigers pick him up. I haven’t heard of all of these catchers and the Steven A. Hill is not to be confused with Steve Hill the C/LF/1B prospect who played in QC last year. The only one that surprises me is Haberer given that the Cardinals have little in the way of left-handed relief prospects. The DPR follows.

Keep it going Daryl
Booooo Pupo must not have done anything.
What would Amaury Marti and Rico Washington have to do to make in to the majors. I know Marti can just look at a ball and its a homerun, but for him to make the majors I think he would have to hit .300 with 35 homeruns, and even then i’m not sure he would make it just because of his age.
What’s the word on Brian Broderick?
I don’t really know much about this guy, but every time I see his name on here he is putting up a good line.
Brian Broderick is a 20 year old out of Grand Canyon University. He was our pick in the 21st round last year. He put up real nice numbers last year split between JC and Bativia. He had a 2.55 ERA with 7.57 K/BB ratio. The thing I don’t like is how many homeruns he gave up, with 8 homeruns in 67 innings. Which isn’t to bad if he only walked 7.
Anybody have a similar summary for Jai Chul Chung?

Looks Jones may have finally decided to start building a career with those tools of his.
I was also a little surprised at Grossman’s release. I thought he he hit fairly well at Quad City and was OK defensively. Maybe I’m remembering wrong.
I’m surprised at the Haberer release. Was he injured?
Yep the Haberer release is mystifying - Maybe the subject of a Future Redbirds exclusive? His splits scream lefty specialist that I believe (for whatever the hell that’s worth) - would put him above any Flores today?!
