I’ve been out of commission due to the ice storm. My cable is back up, meaning my internet is back up, so I’ll try and have something by tomorrow.

- Liam has his sleepers for 2008, and it’s a good list. Jameson Maj is officially on my radar now. I’ll try and have a few sleepers of my own later. (I had some posted previously, but realized I made some errors and took the post down.)

The Ice storm has played havoc on my schedule as well. Hang in there and before we know it , we will be hearing “Play Ball”
That Mound Talk article is nice, but where do they get their stats? It says Perez gave up 25 homeruns in only 55 innings? Is that stat true?
I think the guy on Mound Talk needs to take another look at Perez’s stats. He stated that Chris had yielded 23 HR in 55 innings. Try 23 HITS in 54.2 innings, with only 5 HR over the last two seasons. His walks are still more than optimal, but I think he’ll be alright.
I think Mound Talk just made a little mistake. It doesn’t say anything about Perez home runs any more.
I was waiting for eric to post his e had pulled down as I his sleepers again that he ahd pulled down as I had xome comments there but it looks like that is going t be a while.
Liam’s seems to have a good reputation on Cardinal boards as a knowledgeable poster but his idea that Mosquera can start at QC and finish at PB seems a real stretch for a guy who seems to barely get the ball out of the infield in the DSL. I love that nearly .200 OBP-BA though!
It would be an impossible stretch if he stays at 150 pounds. If he adds 20-30 pounds and starts using that muscle to drive the ball a bit more, it could happen. If he already had a little pop, he wouldn’t be a sleeper, though. I probably set unrealistic goals for him, but he’s someone I’ll be keeping an eye on next season.
Shame I missed Erik’s sleeper post. Always like hearing about these long-shots.
