Amaury Marti is currently hitting .424/.509/.633 in 39 games for the Mexican Red Devils of the Mexican League, also known as Liga de Amaury Cazana. Bud Selig ordered the Cardinals to banish him to there, in fear of the major leagues losing competitive balance.
Amaury also refuses to accept the watch curse. He has the power to curse, and the power to bless.

Despite his recent bombing in that AFL game, I’m going to vote Boggs again.
5. Herron.
Octtavio forsure but if not him then Boggs, but that’s a long shot.
Herron
Ottavino
My vote, Ottavino.
Also in this weeks edition of Minor League transactions:
According to BA MiL Transaction list:
St. Louis Cardinals
Outrighted off 40-man roster: RHP Dennis Dove
Mortensen
Herron
Its gotta be Herron after his stellar year. He lacks Ottavino’s upside, but probably has a higher floor.

Mortenson
Tough one. I think Herron, Mortenson, or Ottavino could all go in here (and the others will fill out 6 and 7). My pick is Mortenson. His numbers remind me too much of Brandon Webb.
Mortenson
ottavino
Mortensen
K/9 —-BB/9—GB/AO—highest level in 07
Morten = 10.2—1.8—3.2—A
Herron = 8.5—1.7—1.4—A
Ottavi = 8.0—4.0—1.4—A+
Mortensen
I’m going to have to go with Ottavino, even though I really wanted to go with Mortensen. I really think that Mortensen could be something really special, not Brandon Webb special but a #2 type. I am going with Ottavino based on his potential. He has performed very well so far despite high walk rates. I really think that he will take a jump next year and surprise a lot of people with his performance at AA.
I’m going w/ Boggs over Mort/Ottavino simply because he’s further along than they are right now.

Herron, barely.
Herron
Ottavino…His walks are high but I think he’ll figure that out in the off season. They also did a lot of messing around with his mechanics this season, which may have played a role in his walks. Also, if you look at his games almost half of his walks came in the last 10 games. He also isn’t used to pitching so many innings. The most innings he pitched in college was 96. I think he’ll have a better k/bb next season…or atleast I hope so.
