  • Jarrett Hoffpauir and Joe Mather both went 1-for-3 with a BB.
  • Stu Pomeranz threw 3 scoreless innings allowing 2 hits and a BB.
  • Kyle McClellan pitched a scoreless 8th striking out 2.

    Cardinals minor league field coordinator Jim Riggleman, considered the leading in-house candidate to succeed Tony La Russa if La Russa declined to return to the organization, has accepted a bench coaching position with the Seattle Mariners.

    Thought you guys might like that input since it does affect the minor leaguers.
