• Amaury Marti Watch

Amaury Marti is currently hitting .424/.509/.633 in 39 games for the Mexican Red Devils of the Mexican League, also known as Liga de Amaury Cazana. Bud Selig ordered the Cardinals to banish him to there, in fear of the major leagues losing competitive balance.

Amaury also refuses to accept the watch curse. He has the power to curse, and the power to bless.

  1. Encouraging info on Pomz. I haven’t been too hopeful about his return to form. I assume his control is a little rusty and that accounts for the high pitch count.

  2. Nice to see some of those names that Stu retired. First two batters were Chin-lung Hu and Cameron Maybin.

Don’t know if it’s been reported around here already but we didn’t give up any prospects in the Russ Branyan trade—just cash.

  3. I must admit, I’m a little surprised to see Pomeranz coming back and making any sort noise. I just kind of figured he was one of those guys who got to AA and then flamed out, with injury and ineffectiveness both playing their parts. Here’s hoping he can keep it going.

Mather has a chance here to really make a case, and prove that he’s a real prospect, not just an older guy beating up on the kids. Start raking, Joe. You happen to have an advantage in this organisation. You’re right handed. There’s really nothing better in this org to be than a RH hitting outfielder. Take the bull by the horns. It’s a metaphor. But that really happened.

Michael Cooper is history’s greatest monster.
