While other players were drafted and signed big contracts many are no longer in the game. With that being said, Sean is still working hard on every aspect of his game with the ability to be coached maximizing his role as a team player. Danielson is seeking what every young man has ever dreamed of that being just a chance to show case their God Given ability and love for the game. He plays every game the way we would like to see it played giving his all to make a difference. With his faith and heart being in the right place he is a role model for our youth and the way we all played the game while having FUN as kids. Danielson noted by his team mates, coaches, and the media as a Spark Plug helping to Motivate his team mates on every level is one you'd like to see get his chance. Put me in Coach is all he has ever asked wanting to prove that given the chance he will succeed for himself, his team, and the fans following the game. Having both defense and offense with the ability to switch hit, bunt, run, steal, and throw runners out at any base that makes it exciting for the TEAM and FANS everywhere listening and watching the game. BAD MOVE CARDS..... SMART PICK-UP RED SOX. Way to go Mike Hazen and the Sox's. I'll look foreword to hearing, reading, listening, and seeing more about this young up and coming ball player Sean Danielson and his new TEAM The BOSTON RED SOX's. Congradulations Sean on being true to the game and yourself handling every step with class as you move closer to playing in the majors. Also consider that minus his one full season at Palm Beach his OPS would be above .750 and his OBP above .380 -- and all we have to do is ask Jose Martinez or Tyler Greene what PB can do to otherwise good averages. To top all that off, I've read Danialson is a stud defensively as an outfielder. Yes, he's 25 but this was also just his second full pro season as well. I don't think you can write him off yet. He plays small ball in a big way with his speed and great arm in the outfield. Sean also tied for 8th putting him in the Top Ten for the Texas League Batting title. He was called up in mid April and made a spot for himself where there wasn't suppose to be a spot hitting his 1st HR just one month after being promoted to Double A ball. He then went on to help make Springfield a better team and is a big reason they won there first half of the season. Sean was also named to the Texas League Allstar Team with double digits in outfield assists and steals as well as Texas League Player of the week batting .423 (11-for-26),4 R,5 2B,1 HR, 8 RBI,2 BB,1 SB, .731 SLG. Also note Danielson had 6 stolen bases in a game for a New York Penn League record his first year in the league. Given the chance to play he will make a name for himself and the best of his opportunity. Great Pick Red Sox!!!!!!! Danielson is one of those players that can make any TEAM better. This kid is going places...he works harder off and on the field than anyone I know. The Red Sox made a great decision....I give them alot of credit for being able to recognize talent when they see it....GO SOX! One more PTBNL to go for Branyon. Probably some average player in the rookie leagues considering it was a month rental and he did not do much while here. Hate to see him go, liked Danielson. He is one of the scrappiest guys i've ever met, knows no speed but full speed (and thats FAST). Undersized but will not quick working till he achieves what he wants. Thanks for the info. No big loss, it takes one less guy out of the way in case we get a healthy season from Shane Robinson and/or Jon Jay.
