Probably will be back for the instructional league in Sept. Erik- David Kopp was shut down due to tendonitis in his right arm/shoulder. Probably will be back for the instructional league in Sept.

The players who look good in the stat sheet tend to be guys like Tony Cruz and Steve Hill, who spend a short time there, hit a lot of singles, and move up quickly. If you're a prospect who gets assigned to Batavia, you'd better hope for a fast start with a high BABIP. If you get off to a slow start or have the misfortune of hitting balls into gloves, you're going to have ugly stats. Over time, I wouldn't be surprised to see that the best hitting prospects in the org are the guys who skip over the NY-Penn League altogether. Albert never played there, nor did Chris Duncan, Yadi, Colby, Jay ... Regarding Batavia:

If this sends Reyes back down to Memphis I am going to be a very angry man. We just picked up Piniero for some reason. If this sends Reyes back down to Memphis I am going to be a very angry man.

Rasmus and Anderson are foregone conclusions. Probably both will be top 50. Garcia will almost certainly be there again. Perez and Hamilton are knocking at the door and Walters and Ottavino seem to be closing in too. Ryan, I am thinking the Cards have either 4 or 5 in the top 100 this coming year. And they had David Kopp, but i think i read he's been shut down due to arm troubles. Also, is Batavia just completely devoid of any real talent? Their whole roster has awful stats. Deryk Hooker needs to be moved up. Also, is Batavia just completely devoid of any real talent?
