Not sure if he has played yet or not, but at least he is listed somewhere. Just looked on the GCL Cards website, and Kozma is listed as #41 on the roster. Giamanco Sat, 28 Jul 2007 01:41:14 +0000 http://futureredbirds.com/2007/07/26/early-returns/#comment-4469 Just heard from Tyler Henley that he has agreed to terms with the Cardinals. He will be leaving Texas Saturday morning to head out to New York where he will officially sign with the Organization. The signing bonus is apparently for $190,000 total. Obviously some of this money will be set aside for him to finish his education at Rice during the off-season. This bonus is well over slot so I don't know how they're doing it. My guess is they will list whatever is in excess of the slot for education purposes just to get around approval from the league (if that's possible). Nice to see the Redbirds open their pockets to get a draftee signed. According to Tyler he will be sent to Batavia to get his feet wet this season. Hopefully he will be able to start playing by Sunday or Monday. The Cardinals are hoping after playing what is left of this season in Batavia he will be ready to head to spring training next season with the likely destination being Palm Beach. As one of Tyler's former HS coaches and a life long Cardinal fan I'm elated to see one of the finest gentlemen I've ever coached become a Redbird. Is that still the team he is expected to report to? http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?t=t_ros&cid=438&stn=true&sid=t438 Not only has kozma not played, he still isn’t even on the roster of the Johnson City team. Cruz and Beau have put a positive spin on a class that is really looking short on talent and long on overdrafts. Guess we gotta cross our fingers and hope someone steals Dewitt's wallent and spends money on the very high ceiling Russell and Zawacki. And we better hope Kozma is every bit the player Luhnow thinks he is....or this draft class could go south, realy quick. We coul have another 2004 draft class on our hands.
