• Amaury Marti Watch

Amaury Marti is currently hitting .424/.509/.633 in 39 games for the Mexican Red Devils of the Mexican League, also known as Liga de Amaury Cazana. Bud Selig ordered the Cardinals to banish him to there, in fear of the major leagues losing competitive balance.

Amaury also refuses to accept the watch curse. He has the power to curse, and the power to bless.

Tony “don’t call me Arnoldi” Cruz

Does anybody know who the heck this guy is? I don’t know more about him then what you can find on his player page, other then he was a 26th round pick. He played 7 games for the GCL team, 6 for Johnson City, 4 for Batavia and then was promoted again to the Swing where he’s hitting .566 in a few games. He homered again tonight for the 2nd game in a row. At this pace, he’ll be in St. Louis in by August. Collectively from each level, he’s hit .359/.386/.577 in 78 at bats.

The organization must really like him, because he’s flown through 4 levels in a matter of a days.

  2. I was thinking he was a foreign selection. Didn’t realize he was from Florida.

  3. hmmmmm……3rd baseman picked in a late round flying through the system……sounds familiar.

  4. I think he was drafted previously by the Dodgers as a catcher in 2005 (42nd round). Didn’t sign obviously.
