That's not a comp, just what his numbers look like right now. Speaking of, I remember when our only real hitting bright spots in the low minors were Hoff and Cody Haerther. Any word on how far he is from a return? BP lists his #3 and #6 comps as Andre Ethier and Adam LaRoche. Jarrett Hoffpauir is Mark Loretta-ing his way to a callup. Ottavino 2. Herron 3. Garceau 4. Degerman 5. Norrick I know a lot of people are pretty high on Norrick, Kevin Goldstein included. Throws 91-93 fastball and is a lefty who can get ground balls, so maybe he belongs higher. I've seen Degerman, here's some pics i snapped of his delivery http://futureredbirds.com/2007/05/05/johnny-on-the-spot-i-was-at-the-swingkernels-game/ I think he has a big league curveball, but he'll have to rely on good control throughout his career because from what I saw in his fastball left a lot to be desired. Herron throws 3 pitches, sinker, change, curve...All 3 pitches are above average. I’d personally rank the arms of A/A+

I'm trying to keep a lot of these young arms in order. Tyler Herron was given a vote of recommendation by Keith Law, and then there's Degerman with the funky delivery and Garceau. Are those the best pitchers of A/A+? Awesome. I’m trying to keep a lot of these young arms in order. I was very impressed from what I saw from him. Ryan,
