Last season was spent rehabbing down in Jupiter, though he did get into a couple of games at Johnson City late in the season, just to see where he stood going into the offseason. He's a local St Louis kid and if you knew him, you'd be in his corner pulling for him. He's one of the truly nice guys away from the field. I spoke with him this morning and he's excited about the move to Springfield and will be in uniform for the game tonight. Here's a link to a chat session that Kyle did with the Cardinal board at FanHome.com - http://www.fanhome.com/forums/st-louis-cardinals/4388-chat-room-session-kyle-mcclellan-02-18-07-a.html mateodh - Kyle underwent TJ surgery in late summer (July/Aug) of 2005. He's a guy I wrote off maybe a year ago, but I had heard whispers of him being a great sleeper/breakout prospect a couple years ago. 23 in Double-A sounds like there's hope here. One, he got the W. Two, he got the call to pack his bags and head on back to his home state of Missouri. So, this morning he's on the road to Springfield. For those who haven't been following, he's put together a great run out of the bullpen since being called up to Palm Beach about a month into the season. He's only been scored upon once as a reliever this season - an era of about 0.30 as a reliever.
