My list, complete with your obscure history joke of the day.

I saw the Swing play this past Sunday. Elvis started by striking out the first batter, getting a weak ground ball, then he gave up 2 hard hit singles, and then struck out the next batter. The batters he struck out he seemed to really buckle down and his fastball sat 89-91 according to the stadium’s radar (I have heard it is notoriously 2 MPH slow) that had really good movement. The balls that were hit hard were when he seemed to be distracted and his fastball registered around 87 according to the radar.

So, yes I only saw him throw to a limited number of batters, but when he seemed to be really buckle down, it did get me excited about what the Cardinals could have. When he really wanted to, he seemed to overmatch the batters that night.

“A 6-foot-3, 190-pound righthander, Hernandez produces low 90s velocity with an easily repeatable delivery.”

Erik-Oh I’ll be wrong about Harvey, the Cards like to do the opposite of what I like so I fully expect them drafting 3 college relievers with our first 10 picks. And yeah it probably would be premature to rank him that high, but I do think he has the talent that would be #2. Also I noticed you stole my top 5, how dare you. Although I almost put Bryan 2nd on my list.

mark mccormick has been sidelined with shoulder issues and hasn’t pitched for months. that is a huge hit on his stock imo.

i hope you are right about them landing Harvey, but I couldn’t rank him above 2-5 just yet.

I know McCormick hasn’t pitched this year, but what is his status? I must have fallen and hit my head but I am having trouble recalling his status.

For some reason Garceau and Herron don’t make my top 10 yet, maybe I just wanna see and hear more from them. Greene has had a very nice LD% this year but he just missed the cut.
