• Amaury Marti Watch

Amaury Marti is currently hitting .424/.509/.633 in 39 games for the Mexican Red Devils of the Mexican League, also known as Liga de Amaury Cazana. Bud Selig ordered the Cardinals to banish him to there, in fear of the major leagues losing competitive balance.

Amaury also refuses to accept the watch curse. He has the power to curse, and the power to bless.

Daily Prospect Report 5/26/07

QC gets postponed for the day so only three teams to cover.

Memphis 1, Round Rock 3

  • Nick Stavinoha goes 2-for-4 with a double.
  • Rick Ankiel went 1-for-4 with a double and 2Ks.
  • Mike Parisi pitched a quality start although he was far from dominant. In 6 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 9 hits, 1 BB and 1K. He also hit a batter and allowed more flyouts that groundouts (9 to 8).
  • Chris Lambert threw 2 innings of relief. And they look good in the box score. 0 hits, 0 walks, 3 Ks.

Springfield 1, Corpus Christi 2

  • Cody Haerther goes 3-for-4.
  • Jared Hoffpauir goes 3-for-3 with a BB.
  • Juan Richardson goes 2-for-4 with the only extra base hit for Springfield, a double.
  • Jaime Garcia had a fantastic outing. In 6.2 innings, he strikes out 7, walks 2, and allows 6 hits. Sadly, that was good for 2 runs (1 earned) and the loss. On top of that, Garcia had a 12-1 GO:AO ratio.

Palm Beach 9, Lakeland 6

  • Dan Nelson goes 2-for-5 with a double.
  • AJ Van Slyke goes 3-for-5 with a double.
  • Mark Hamilton goes 2-for-3 and collects 2 walks.
  • Shortstop Jose Martinez flashes some power with a double and a HR going 2-for-5.
  • Gary Daley struggled in his outing walking 7 during 4 innings of work. He allowed 5 runs with 6 hits and 2 Ks.
  • Luke Gregerson closed out the game with a scoreless frame to lower his ERA to 0.99 and collect his 10th save.
