• Amaury Marti Watch

Amaury Marti is currently hitting .424/.509/.633 in 39 games for the Mexican Red Devils of the Mexican League, also known as Liga de Amaury Cazana. Bud Selig ordered the Cardinals to banish him to there, in fear of the major leagues losing competitive balance.

Amaury also refuses to accept the watch curse. He has the power to curse, and the power to bless.

Plenty good here, after a rough start to the season the bats broke out tonight:

  • Jaime Garcia made his AA debut and was decent, striking out 5 in 5 innings, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits and 3 walks, one of those hits was a homer.

  1. Rasmus is ALIVE!

  2. Thanks for the Hawksworth piece, that filled in a missing gap in my Cards’ knowledge.

Where can I get my Miintilan Oil Tankers jersey? That’s what I want to know.

Good night was had by all

  3. While I’m more excited about Rasmus than anyone, I tend to find Anderson extremely intriguing as a prospect. Does anyone have any footage of his swing?

  4. My mancrush on Jose Martinez knows no bounds.

  5. I think Jose Martinez gets really underrated in the system. He gets overshadowed by guys like Rasmus and Anderson and Greene but his ceiling is probably better than David Eckstein.

There was a nice snippet on him over at the Hardball Times.

  6. I’ve listened to a good portion of the springfield cardinals game so far this year and i don’t think rasmus is doing as terrible as his stats look. It seems like he’s just hitting into bad luck. Like the game tonight, in the later innings he apparently hit a bullet, but right at first base. Also, he at least is hitting the ball and not just striking out every time up (even though he know has five). Maybe i’m just a crazed cardinals, but i hope i’m right and it’s not that they are overpowering him…
