• Amaury Marti Watch

Amaury Marti is currently hitting .424/.509/.633 in 39 games for the Mexican Red Devils of the Mexican League, also known as Liga de Amaury Cazana. Bud Selig ordered the Cardinals to banish him to there, in fear of the major leagues losing competitive balance.

Amaury also refuses to accept the watch curse. He has the power to curse, and the power to bless.

Daily Prospect Report 4/8/07

Azruavatar did an excellent job with the report yesterday, and since imitation is the most sincere form of flattery, I’ll upgrade my post today to look more like his. BTW, he’ll be working Wednesday thru Saturday, and I’ll be working Sunday thru Tues.

Just 2 of the 4 active farm teams had games today, here’s the lowdown:

Memphis 4, Oklahoma 1 (Rangers affiliate)
The good:

The Bad:

Frisco 4, Springfield 1 (Frisco is also a Texas Ranger affiliate).

The good:

  • Not much good here. They were held to only 5 hits, 2 coming from Jon Jay out his 4 at bats.

The bad:

  • Colby Rasmus went 0 for 4 with a fielding error and a strikeout. So far he’s hitting .083.
  • Mitch Boggs allowed 7 hits in his debut, lasting 5 innnings. He struck out 3. Not terrible, but the hittable-ness of Boggs continues.

Outside of Joe Mather and Jon Jay, the Springfield lineup has looked as anemic as the St. Louis lineup. Maybe they’ll put up a 10 spot on some unsuspecting team soon like the Cardinals did today.

  1. Rasmus will come around. I wonder if the stadium they are playing in is a pitchers park?

  2. springfield woke up!
