I was shocked to see Future Redbirds was nominated for best Cardinal blog in the baseball preview edition of SI. GCF was also nominated, which sort of embarrassing, being that it hasn’t been properly updated in months and I’ve moved to new quarters at Fangraphs.
What I found was a shame for Si is that they failed to notice the other fine Cardinal blogs Cardinals Diaspora, Get Up Baby, 26th Man and Fungoes, amongst others. Who came up with this list?
Even though I’m honored I made the list, I’m still voting for VEB. Might as well, since I have a Mondale’s chance of beating VEB according to the early poll results. Hey, I write there too. How in the flurbee did 3 blogs I write for get nominated? I’m sure Larry’s writing has more to do with the VEB nomination then mine, not being overly self deprecating, but VEB is a daily ‘must read’ and…well…I’m just having a good time farting around here.

i was wondering why i was getting so many hits from si.com. apparently, my blog is on there too and they have links to my blog, this blog and GCF at:

That’s almost totally true. I think many people would agree that your site is a daily must read as well. I find it amazing that you cover so many aspects of the game, and you do it incredibly well.
I must be blind in one eye and unable to see out the other, but where’s the place to place the vote. Found the page, but I don’t see anything that says vote here. HELP
I think this is a great blog, and i read them both. Since you write for both of them, i consider them basically one blog, and i never really visit one without visiting the other. You guys should combine them and make Vivaelbirdos a better blog than that A’s blog.
Seriously though, this is a great blog and puts everything i can’t, or don’t have the patience to, find out by myself into one neat blog.

bleacherbum…you have to allow pop ups…I couldn’t get it to work at first either, then I tried it at work (which is evil) and it came up on a pop up window. then i put 2 and 2 together and presto.
